About Us.
How it started:
In 1994, Faye Chang was taking an elderly neighbor to visit some large retirement communities in San Francisco. It was on those tours that she realized most seniors would benefit from a smaller and more personalized setting with consistent staff. After 2 years of research, Long Life Living opened in 1996. It was such a success, within three years she opened 2 more homes.
Today, Long Life Living Inc. operates 2 facilities in upper Lucas Valley. It is our mission to create a better way to care for our seniors. We believe that elderly residents who need more physical and cognitive assistance will live happier, healthier and longer lives in a smaller home-based care setting with a focus on individualized loving care.
Meet the Administrators:
Faye Chang: Administrator and Founder:
Faye Chang started the business in 1996 with a goal to create a beautiful setting for our seniors to live. Faye has a background in real estate and enjoys spending her free time with her 5 grandchildren.
Justine Herrera: Administrator: Justine joined Long Life Living in 2020 to work alongside her mom, Faye, and be closer to family. She grew up in Marin and always admired Faye’s dedication to serving the elderly in their community. Justine has a law degree from the University of Hawaii, with certificate in Elder Law. She worked as an attorney in Honolulu for 8 years, in the area of Trusts, Estate and Probate administration.
Care team:
Our caregivers are professionally trained, fingerprinted and registered by the State of California.
Each home has 2 caregivers onsite during the day and 1 caregiver awake at night. Our dedicated team of caregivers form strong relationships with each resident, learning what foods they like or little tips that work better when providing care.
Caregivers provide support with meal prep, activates of daily living, grooming, housework, laundry and medication management.
Our Homes:
We have two Eichler homes in located upper Lucas Valley. Our homes are filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Each house has 6 private bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, common areas for movies, activities and dining.
Visiting hours:
Family and friends are encouraged to visit from 9am to 4pm daily. Every effort will be made to accommodate special requests for visitations.
